The SWAC tournament, which has been held annually since 1976, features the top 10 of the league's 12 teams seeded in a single-elimination bracket based on regular-season records. The winner, of course, gets an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The Southern Jaguars enter the tournament as the No. 1 seed (15-3 SWAC) followed by the Jackson State Tigers (14-4 SWAC), No. 3-seeded Bethune-Cookman Wildcats (13-5 SWAC) and No. 4-seeded Texas Southern Tigers (12-6 SWAC).
The conference tournament will be played at Gateway Center Arena, Atlanta, Georgia, on March 11-15.
