Owners of celebrated Columbia restaurant will add South End location along rail trail
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A business that's become a hot spot in Columbia, South Carolina, is adding a location in South End.
South Carolina-based Spectrum Companies announced Thursday that the Carson Station building will soon be home to the Market on Morehead restaurant and retailer. The company has become known for its Market on Main locations in downtown Columbia and Spartanburg.
Market on Morehead will occupy a 7,000-square-foot space at the intersection of Morehead Street and the Blue Line light rail. The restaurant will feature an expansive patio, which owners hope will serve as a community hub.

In addition to the new lease agreement with Market on Morehead, Spectrum Charter has renewed its lease at Carson Station, maintaining its presence in a two-floor office space, reinforcing the property's appeal to established businesses.
'Carson Station continues to attract businesses and establishments that enrich the community experience,' said Dillard Williams, director of Leasing at The Spectrum Companies. 'We are thrilled to announce Market on Morehead and the renewal of a key tenant.'
Market on Morehead will offer menus featuring locally sourced dishes including gourmet salads, artisanal sandwiches, fresh seafood, and craft cocktails.

The Spectrum Companies is a commercial real estate firm that owns, develops, leases and manages commercial and multifamily property across the Southeast. Among their local properties are The Railyard towers along South Tryon and the future Gateway Station off Graham Street uptown.
