First 'Spider-Noir' Teaser Trailer With Nicolas Cage Released

Nicolas Cage first gave life to Spider-Noir beyond his comic book counterpart with his animated appearance in the Spider-Man movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse . Now, years later, Nicolas Cage is returning for a live-action Spider-Noir series. Fans can now get their first look at the Spider-Noir series in the teaser trailer below. The series, which will be headed to Amazon Prime, was developed by showrunners Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot. Cage's character, fully dubbed Spider-Man Noir, is a version of the fan-favorite superhero that exists in an alternate universe inspired by 1930s New York City. This places the character in the perfect setting for a classic detective story, which combined with the Spider-Man mythos, should offer fans a truly unique live-action adaptation unlike any other Spider-Man projects to date. With the immensely positive reception Cage has received for his work as the character's animated iteration, it's certainly exciting to see him offered the opportunity to bring the Marvel character to life in live-action. Here's the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action series Spider-Noir : First teaser for 'SPIDER-NOIR' starring Nicolas Cage 🕸️ Releasing in 2026 — ScreenTime (@screentime) May 12, 2025 Of course, this is only a teaser trailer, but it's clear that the attention to detail in Spider-Noir will be completely unlike anything fans are used to. This looks like a proper throwback to classic noir films and shows while also doing justice to the comic books that the property originated from. Hopefully we'll have more glimpses at the series and additional information in the near future. For now, however, this first teaser trailer is a great treat for fans that are looking forward to this adaptation. Especially after the animated Spider-Verse films teased the possibilities of such a series. Fans will be able to stream the highly-anticipated television series Spider-Noir next year in 2026 via Amazon Prime in both black-and-white and color. Stay tuned to ScreenGeek for any additional updates regarding the show as we approach its release.

First Teaser Trailer For Nicolas Cage's SPIDER-NOIR Series — GeekTyrant

Amazon and MGM+ just shared a first teaser trailer for Nicolas Cage's upcoming live-action Marvel series Spider-Noir and it looks great! Prime Video showcased the upcoming series on Monday during its upfronts presentation. I really like the whole tone, style, and vibe of the trailer and it looks like it will include some fun action sequences. I'm also digging the fact that the creative team went black and white! The series 'tells the story of an aging and down-on-his-luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city's one and only superhero.' The story is said to focus on Ben Reilly rather than Peter Parker. The series is led by co-showrunners Oren Uziel ( Mortal Kombat ) and Steve Lightfoot ( The Punisher ), with the first two episodes directed and executive produced by Fleabag and Killing Eve 's Harry Bradbeer. Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal are producing. The supporting cast includes Lamorne Morris, who will play Robbie Robertson, joined by Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Jack Huston, Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, and more. The series is set to be reelased in 2026. Check out the teaser and tell us what you think!

Nicolas Cage Suits Up as Spider-Man Noir in First Look at Amazon's SPIDER-NOIR Series — GeekTyrant

Amazon and MGM+ just shared a first official look at Nicolas Cage as the trench-coated, web-slinging vigilante in the upcoming Spider-Noir serie, the live aciton version of the character looks pretty cool! It features the character striking a signature Spider-Man pose in a sleek black-and-white still that could have leapt straight out of the comic panels or Into the Spider-Verse, and it's a big stylistic swing. I love the black and white syle. According to cast member Lukas Haas, 'We filmed it in – I think it may come out in both black and white and color, but when we filmed it, the monitors were all black and white, so you got this feeling and it looked very, very authentic.' Cage's Spider-Noir isn't your typical friendly neighborhood superhero. This version of the character is described as 'an ageing and down on his luck private investigator in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city's one and only superhero.' The series is said to focus on Ben Reilly rather than Peter Parker, which a notable shift from the comics. That might be Sony's way of sidestepping the Tom Holland/Peter Parker territory over in the MCU. The series is led by co-showrunners Oren Uziel ( Mortal Kombat ) and Steve Lightfoot ( The Punisher ), with the first two episodes directed and executive produced by Fleabag 's Harry Bradbeer. The supporting cast includes Lamorne Morris, who will play Robbie Robertson, joined by Brendan Gleeson, Abraham Popoola, Li Jun Li, Jack Huston, Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, and more. Whether Spider-Noir can help restore faith in Sony's Spider-Verse after a string of letdowns like Madame Web , Morbius , and Kraven , remains to be seen. But with Phil Lord and Christopher Miller leading the charge as producers, there's hope it will deliver somthing great. With a brooding Cage in the lead and a noir-soaked vibe unlike any Spider-Man story we've seen before, this might just be the shot of pulp superhero storytelling we didn't know we needed. What do you think of this first look?

'Spider-Noir' Pic Shows Nic Cage in Amazon's Live-Action Series

During Amazon's annual upfronts on Monday, the streamer let loose a first look at Academy Award-winner (and genre icon) Nicolas Cage as the titular hero in the buzzy comic book series Spider-Noir. Spider-Noir was first introduced on the big screen in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The character, which is part of the Marvel Noir comics universe, was introduced to the paneled page in 2009. It follows an alternate reality version of Peter Parker -- this one is a struggling private investigator in 1930s New York who's seen better days -- who suffers a spider bite that gives him superpowers. A masked vigilante upholding justice in the Big Apple during the Great Depression? Yes, that about sums up the comic and the upcoming live-action TV series from MGM Plus and Prime Video. The show also stars Lamorne Morris, Brendan Gleeson, Li Jun Li, Karen Rodriguez, Jack Huston and Lukas Haas, among many others. Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (Marvel's The Punisher, Shantaram) will executive produce and co-showrun the project, which was developed with the Academy Award-winning creative team who brought Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse to the big screen: Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Amy Pascal. Spider-Noir will be presented in both black and white and color; the highly anticipated program will premiere in 2026 on MGM Plus and Prime Video.
