Kalba, SWS remarkable achievements for in Open Judo Championship

The championship featured exciting competitions for both junior and youth categories, with many judo players representing various parts of the UAE. The Kalba Women's Sports Club had 20 players competing, split evenly between the junior and youth groups, while the Sharjah Women's Sports Club fielded five junior players. The results for Kalba were impressive, especially in the junior women's category, where they won five gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal. In the youth category, they secured three gold medals, five silver medals, and one bronze medal, showcasing the club's strong focus on training and development. Sharjah Women's Sports Club also had a commendable performance, with their five junior players earning one gold medal in the -70 kg weight class and a silver medal in the -36 kg class. All participants from Sharjah are part of the Sports Incubators Project, which aims to provide a supportive training environment for young girls, helping them develop their skills early on. Souriya Haddad, the Judo Technical Director, commented on the championship, saying it highlighted the impressive progress in the athletes' skills and physical abilities. Both clubs showed a strong commitment to training, with noticeable improvements in how they moved and executed techniques on the mat. The involvement of young athletes from the Sports Incubators Project underscores the importance of starting early in judo to nurture the next generation of players.
