Restore the Balance to focus on politics at annual Spring Gathering
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — On Wednesday, May 21, Restore the Balance (RTB) will host its annual Spring Gathering from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Colorado Mesa University's Meyer Ballroom, located at 1455 North Avenue in Grand Junction. The public event titled, 'The Rule of Law & U.S. Constitution – 2025,' will feature a panel of experts discussing the Constitutional issues of the balance of power, freedom of the press and religious freedoms. The panelists will include former Grand Junction attorney and retired Federal District Judge, Ed Nottingham, Constitutional Lawyer and publisher of the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, Jay Seaton, and author and blogger for Americans United for Separation of Church and State, Rob Bostom. Tim Foster, former Colorado State Representative and President Emeritus of Colorado Mesa University, will moderate the panel. Following the panelists' presentations, they will take questions from the audience. The Spring Gathering in 2024 featured Cassidy Hutchinson and drew national attention in addition to a full house at CMU's ballroom. RTB is anticipating over 350 attendees for this event, with a limited number of seats still available. 'Since forming in March of 2022, RTB has grown as an organization with members across the state and nation and with branches in Mesa, Delta, and La Plata Counties in Colorado. It's clear that people with moderate political views from all political parties or no political party are ready to take action to restore balance to political conversations and unite in defense of democracy,' said Dave Murphy, RTB chair. 'Only with donations from our individual supporter base and the assistance of Colorado Mesa University are we able to bring this distinguished panel to Grand Junction, and through streaming, to other areas of Colorado's Third Congressional District,' said Restore the Balance co-founder, Tim Sarmo. Agatha Christie Devon waterfront statue to be unveiled in April

She died in 1976 aged 85, after writing 66 detective novels, 14 short story collections and more than 20 plays, selling an estimated 300 million books Custerson, chief executive of the English Riviera Business Improvement District, said people were thrilled to celebrate "one of Torquay's most treasured cultural icons", according to the Local Democracy Reporting said the festival would "bring together crime fiction enthusiasts, bestselling authors, and Christie devotees".As well as Vine, the festival will feature events and speakers, including Sunday Times bestselling novelist and Death in Paradise creator Robert Thorogood added: "I have loved Agatha Christie's books my whole life. "It's an honour to be part of this celebration and share a day with fellow Christie fans."
