$197.8 million referendum narrowly passes in Oshkosh
OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – The $197.8 million referendum that would begin the second phase of the Oshkosh Area School District's facilities consolidation plan passed after 50.9% of voters said yes during Tuesday's Spring General Election. The referendum was approved in January by the District's Board of Education, which placed it on the ballot for Tuesday's election. The major pieces of the phase include a new consolidated middle school at the Shapiro site, a new auditorium at Oshkosh North High School, and air conditioning at Emmeline Cook, Lakeside, and Read Elementary Schools. Hintz wins election for Winnebago County Executive
(WFRV) – The election for Winnebago County Executive has officially been decided, with challenger Gordon Hintz winning the seat in Tuesday's Spring General Election. Hintz was declared the winner with 30,832 of the votes, defeating incumbent Jon Doemel, who received 27,374 of the votes. Wisconsin votes to enshrine voter ID requirement in state constitution Hintz's victory marks the end of Doemel's tenure in the role, which began in 2021. For more election results, click here.
