Spring Nittany Antique Machinery show kicks off in Centre County
CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — The Spring Nittany Antique Machinery Association Show in Centre County looks to provide family fun and showcase antique agricultural equipment.
The three-day show takes place at Penns Cave along Route 192 in Centre County. Throughout the weekend, there is plenty to see, do, and explore. This includes a flea market, steam tractors, farm tractors, demonstrations, tractor pulls, homemade ice cream, bean soup, roasted peanuts, a consignment sale, and more.
'Lots of stuff to take place with the antique equipment, kind of shows how important this is, how it was done by our previous ancestors,' Past President of Nittany Antique Machinery Association, Preston Weaver said.
Weaver said keeping the annual show tradition alive is important for the whole area, and it's not easy putting everything together.
'We have a good group of members who stand behind us, making decisions and changes. But most importantly, you know what it takes to put the show on, it takes a small village,' Weaver said.
The event runs from May 30 to June 1. Admission is $5 on Friday and Saturday, and free on Sunday. Anyone ages 11 and under gets in for free. For a full list of events, visit the link here.
