Metairie sixth grader finds the ‘write' stuff in handwriting contest
METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — He's got the 'write' stuff, all right.
The handwriting stuff that makes him a champion.
He's 12-year-old Ares Nguyen.
He's a sixth grader at St. Edward the Confessor School in Metairie.
WGNO Good Morning New Orleans features reporter Bill Wood wants you to know he's got the best handwriting around.
He is a handwriting heavyweight in a national handwriting contest with thousands of kids competing from across America.
Ares came in first for a sixth grader in a region of 18 southeastern states.
He says what makes him so good is writing fast because writing slow makes his lines 'sloppy.'
