Bergerac: Which Jersey locations are featured in the new series?
With the release of the new version of the television series Bergerac, actors say the real star of the show is the island of Jersey, and it looks "amazing" in the and guests walked the red-carpet at a local premiere on Monday, where the first episode of the six-part series was screened. Jersey-born actor Timothy Renouf, who plays Julien Wakefield, previously said Jersey was a "lead character".He said being on the island made filming scenes relaxing for the cast because the location did "half the work".Actor Ayehsa Antoine, who played Chloe, said she hoped people in Jersey would be proud of the series."It looks so beautiful, the show, the island is in all its glory," she said.
Gabby Mason and her partner Leyton Hunnisett own the Driftwood Café at Archirondel, where a "serious scene" from the series was Mason said her parents moved to Jersey when she was a baby because they watched the original Bergerac series between 1981 and 1991, so she was "certain" the new version would be good for the said recent TV shows filmed in Jersey have made the island, its scenery and local businesses look said the international exposure of the series would have a "positive impact" on the island because people would likely search for it online and then book holidays."It's just wonderful for everybody because the whole island is going to experience a bit of a boost," she said.
