Man killed in possible road rage shooting Saturday afternoon in Jennings

JENNINGS, Mo. – A homicide investigation is underway after one man was fatally shot Saturday afternoon in Jennings. Police say, based on preliminary findings, the shooting may have possibly stemmed from a road rage incident. The shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 8700 block of Jennings Station Road. The St. Louis County Police Department reports that one man was found suffering from life-threatening gunshot injuries. The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Sheriff's Dept. turns over findings in daycare death to Prosecuting Attorney's Office Police have not yet disclosed any information on potential suspects or motives. The victim's identity is also being withheld pending family notification. As police work have worked to clear the scene, traffic along Jennings Station Road has been closed for some time Saturday between McLaren Avenue and Hildred Avenue. There may still be some traffic closures or delays into early Saturday evening. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – Detectives are investigating an officer-involved shooting that resulted in one man, who was wielding a knife, being shot. According to the St. Louis County Police Department, an officer was alerted to a domestic disturbance just after 11:30 a.m. this morning in the 1300 block of Eagles Way Court in Hazlewood, Missouri. When arriving at the scene, the officer, who has two years of law enforcement experience, came across a man who was holding a knife. Police say the man refused to put down the weapon, which further escalated the incident. According to the department, the officer deployed his gun, shooting the man. The man who was shot was taken to a hospital, but the extent of his injuries was not disclosed to FOX 2. St. Louis County police investigate officer-involved shooting

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – The St. Louis County Police Department reports that they are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred in the 9800 block of Green Valley Drive in north St. Louis County which left a man injured. Police say they responded to a call for a ShotSpotter activation shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday night. When officers got to the location, there was a man armed with a gun. He pointed the gun at the officer. The officer fired his service weapon and struck the suspect at least once. The suspect was then taken into custody and transported to an area hospital for treatment. A firearm was recovered on scene. The St. Louis County police officer involved is 24-years-old and has about three years of law enforcement experience. He was not injured. The investigation in ongoing.
