St. Robert Walmart evacuated after fake number called threatening violence
ST. ROBERT, Mo. – City officials in St. Robert say a fake phone number called the local Walmart threatening violence. This prompted the store's evacuation on Saturday evening.
According to a post on the city's Facebook page everyone inside the store was safely cleared from the premises.
The post also mentioned that the call came from a fake internet-generated number.
Law enforcement did a thorough sweep of the store as a precautionary measure.
St. Robert Police say there's no credible threat to the public at this time but they will continue to monitor the situation.
