Photo courtesy of TEG Sport Tickets for two upcoming football matches in Hong Kong showcasing four of the world's top teams have completely sold out, according to the organisers on Monday Premier League champions Liverpool will face AC Milan for the Standard Chartered Trophy on July 26, whereas two other Premier League teams, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, will battle in the first-ever north London derby outside the UK on July 31. All tickets were snapped up through general sale, which had started at 10am on Monday. "With a seating configuration of over 48,000 for the matches, The Hong Kong Football Festival 2025 is the first ever international football event to be held at Kai Tak Stadium and has drawn what will be the largest ever crowd to watch a football match in Hong Kong," organisers wrote in a statement. Fans can still purchase tickets for the open training sessions of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, scheduled for July 24, 29 and 30 respectively at Kai Tak Stadium. Ticket prices range from HK$99 to HK$299.

File photo: RTHK Tickets for the Hong Kong Football Festival, set to be held in July at the newly-opened Kai Tak Stadium, will go on sale next month. Tickets for the two matches – the Standard Chartered Trophy between Premier League giants Liverpool and Serie A side AC Milan on July 26, and the first north London derby outside of the UK between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur on July 31 – will be available to the public from May 12 on Cityline, according to organisers on Thursday. Prices for each match will range from HK$399 to HK$2,499. Pre-sales, meanwhile, begin on May 2. In addition to their matches at Kai Tak, Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will each hold open training sessions at the stadium. Ticket prices for open training will cost between HK$99 and HK$299. Details of AC Milan's open training session will be announced later. The new 50,000-seat Kai Tak Stadium has hosted major sporting events such as the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens since its opening earlier this year.

Liverpool announce pre-season tour in Hong Kong, China and Japan
Liverpool will tour Asia this summer for their pre-season fixtures (REUTERS) Liverpool have announced they will be heading to Asia later this year for their pre-season tour which will take place in Hong Kong, China and Japan. Arne Slot's men will face off against Serie A giants AC Milan at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong which will be the first football fixture played at the new stadium. Advertisement The club, who are aiming to win the Premier League title this season, will travel to Japan for the last leg of their tour with match details still to be confirmed. Liverpool previously visited Hong Kong for a pre-season tour in 2017 and made their last visit to Asia when playing in Singapore in 2023. Ben Latty, Liverpool's chief commercial officer said: 'We're extremely excited to be returning to Asia for this summer's pre-season tour. 'We're very grateful to our principal partner, Standard Chartered, for their support in sponsoring the Standard Chartered Trophy against AC Milan, 20 years on from that magical night in Istanbul.
