'Revenge of the Sith' 20th anniversary return. What to know in Michigan
Michigan Star Wars fans will soon get another chance to experience "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" in theaters as the film makes a limited comeback this spring for its 20th anniversary.
The film is set to be re-released in theaters for a week in April, according to
"Anakin Skywalker is about to bring peace, freedom, justice, and security to his new Empire on the big screen," wrote on the film's upcoming re-release.
Here's what to know.
"Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith," also is known as Episode III — the final film in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. The movie follows the fall of the Jedi Order, with characters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jedi Master Yoda in hiding and the ensuing battles for control of the galaxy.
The film stars Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Hayden Christensen, Samuel L. Jackson and others under the direction of Star Wars creator George Lucas.

The film will be re-released in theaters April 25, 2025.
Showings will be available for one week. The film can be watched in several formats in theaters, including 4DX for the first time.
The PG-13 film premiered May 19, 2005.
Star Wars is a series of 12 films released between 1977 and 2019.
The 2-hour, 20-minute movie grossed $850 million worldwide, according to IMDB, including $380 million in the U.S. It has a $110 million budget.
Buy tickets for a showing at your nearest select theaters in Michigan to catch the Star Wars movie on the big screen. Michigan theater chains do not currently list tickets for the upcoming release.
