Studebaker National Museum presents lecture about automaker's body styles and coachwork
SOUTH BEND — The Studebaker National Museum presents the lecture 'Landaus, Tourers and Broughams, OH MY!' at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 201 Chapin St.
Presented by Andrew Beckman, archivist at the Studebaker National Museum, the program takes a look at the history behind Studebaker body styles and coachwork.
The presentation will review coachbuilding's horse-drawn roots and examine Studebaker's industrial design and technological developments from the 1910s to the 1950s.
Beckman will also dive into several of Studebaker's most iconic body styles, the 1932-33 St. Regis Brougham, the 1947-52 Starlight Coupe and the 1952-54 Starliner Hardtop.
