Man dies at community pool in Draper
DRAPER, Utah () — A man died while swimming at a community pool in Draper Tuesday evening. According to Lieutenant Mike Elkins with Draper Police Department, the man was in his 30s and suffered a medical issue while in a pool at a complex near 14800 South and Quarry Point Lane. Bystanders and medical personnel on scene attempted to save him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 8:30 p.m. The case has been turned over to the State Medical Examiner to determine a cause of death. 4-year-old dies in Ames shooting, police investigating
AMES, Iowa — Police in Ames are investigating after a four-year-old child died after being shot Monday afternoon. The Ames Police Department said a 911 call came in at 2:27 p.m. about the incident. The caller said a four-year-old child had been accidentally shot in an apartment in the 200 block of South Sherman Avenue. Grimes man accused of critically injuring 3-month-old infant When officers and emergency medical service providers arrived, they provided medical care. An air ambulance transported the child to MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines for treatment, but the child later died. The child's name has not been released. The State Medical Examiner will be conducting the autopsy. The investigation into the shooting continues.
