‘State of the Lake Fisheries' meeting set for March 15
MONTPELIER, Vt. (ABC22/FOX44) – Vermont's Fish and Wildlife Department, alongside other organizations will host a 'State of the Lake Fisheries' meeting this March.
Additional organizations working to host this event include the Lake Champlain Fish and Wildlife Management Cooperative, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and New York Department of Environmental Conservation.
Fish & Wildlife invites locals to comment on fishing regulations
At the meeting, agency staff and others will offer updates on the status of fisheries across Lake Champlain. Research and assessment information from the previous year, plus plans for the coming year will also be addressed.
Local fish like lake trout and sea lamprey will also be discussed.
Anyone interested in Lake Champlain fisheries, anglers and more can attend. This meeting will take place at Burlington's Robert Miller Community & Recreation Center from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Registration is not required, and a video of the meeting will be uploaded to Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department's YouTube channel roughly one month after the event.
