4 West Virginia restaurants named top Valentine's Day hidden gems

CLARKSBURG, (WBOY) — A fine dining restaurant in California compiled a list of the best hidden gems across the country to take your valentine, and four West Virginia restaurants made the list.
The Wonder Bar Steakhouse in Clarksburg made top 10 on the list at #7. Known for its steaks, seafood, wine and elevated experience, Wonder Bar is the perfect place for a special occasion. According to Zinfandel Grille which compiled the list, Wonder Bar's reputation and award-winning wine make it 'West Virginia's premier chophouse.'
'The intimate setting provides a nostalgic backdrop for memorable meals, combining traditional steakhouse elegance with decades of culinary tradition.'
Wonder Bar has been operating in Clarksburg since 1946 and has won awards from Wine Spectator 10 years in a row. If you want to take your valentine this year, you'll have to flexible on the date; according to its website, Wonder Bar is already fully booked for Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15.
These are the most underrated restaurants in West Virginia, according to viewers
But Wonder Bar isn't the only place in West Virginia perfect for a special occasion. The French Goat in Lewisburg (#51), Lot 12 Public House in Berkeley Springs (#53) and Stefano's in Morgantown (#63) also made the list.
Stefano's is considered the most expensive restaurant in the state and is known for its high level steaks, seafood and cocktails.
