'If you want stability, go to Liverpool'
The Monday Night Club panel have been discussing whether Liverpool will be the most attractive Premier League destination this summer, after Arne Slot came in and scooped up a Premier League title in his first season at England captain Steph Houghton says the club will need to think about their current "culture" before splashing the cash."As a footballer you want security and stability - and at this moment in time, out of the top five or top six clubs, Liverpool provide that," she said."But next year will be a tough season for Liverpool because once you're at the top, it is so much harder to stay there than trying to climb your way up there."At Chelsea, it has been a bit of a car crash at times, when they have been making decisions and buying all of these players, but buying loads of players doesn't necessarily bring success. "It is obvious that Arne Slot is going to go and buy players, but then it is about how he moulds that culture again."Watch the full episode on BBC iPlayer or listen on BBC Sounds

'Obvious to see there's going to be a transition at City'
Former Manchester City defender and England captain Steph Houghton says Pep Guardiola must use the rest of the campaign to "build for next season"."It's hard to explain," she told the Monday Breakfast Club on BBC Radio 5 Live. "Anyone connected with the club is thinking 'hHow did we go from winning four in a row to these performances', especially at this point of the season where City usually kick on."They're so experienced winning games week in, week out and applying that pressure."It's obvious to see there's going to be a transition at the club in terms of players leaving - including some big players who have been there a long time. The effort was there and the hard work was there but, overall, Liverpool have been without doubt the best team this season."When asked if the signs of a City rebuild are already visible, she added: "In terms of the wingers, Savinho and [Jeremy] Doku, you can see them being there a long time. "They played well but the end product wasn't there and that's what you get with young players. The inconsistency of performance was always going to be there to see."[Abdukodir] Khusanov is getting a bit more confident. His pace is there and they needed that after Kyle Walker left. Slowly but surely you can see it, but it's going to take time."They know the league is not there to be won this year, so they need to use these months to hopefully qualify for the Champions League and build for next season."Listen to the Monday Breakfast Club on BBC Radio 5 Live from 07:51

Postecoglou 'is a fighter and grafter'
Former England captain Steph Houghton says it is "getting tougher" for Ange Postecoglou to turn the situation at Tottenham around."When he came in to Tottenham there was a spring in his step and he wanted to change the culture of the club," Houghton said on BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club. "That went well for a while but as each interview and matchday goes it is getting tougher for Postecoglou to turn this around."It is worrying and I think this week will define everything for them."Chris Sutton added: "I think he is flat because of the nature of the results which have been poor. He is a fighter and a grafter and he will really want to make this work."Listen to the Monday Night Club on BBC Sounds
