WIAA says it is reviewing its rules after Trump's executive order on transgender athletes
(WFRV) – A few days after President Donald Trump issued an executive order regarding transgender women playing on women's sports teams, the WIAA provided a statement.
On February 5, with a bleacher full of female athletes behind him banning transgender women from playing on women's sports teams. A few days later the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) provided a statement on the presidential order.

The WIAA released the following statement:
The WIAA is reviewing its rules of eligibility with legal counsel to ensure compliance with recent executive orders. Our organization will follow the law and support our member schools with any necessary policy updates.

The White House warned schools that don't comply with this executive order risk losing funding and says it will also apply to the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
