Kinston man arrested for DWI
KINSTON, N.C. (WNCT) — On Sunday afternoon, officers from the Kinston Police Department responded to a car accident on North Herritage Street.
Before officers arrived, they were informed that one of the drivers had fled the scene. Officers were able to find the vehicle in the area of North Queen Street and conducted a traffic stop. 46-year-old Stephen Durling was driving the car and showed signs of impairment, prompting a DWI investigation.
Durling was arrested and charged with driving while impaired and hit and run. He was taken to the Lenoir County Jail where he is currently under a secured bond.
