Honor Flight 51: Returning colonel shares his great honor
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A returning colonel from Bakersfield who joined Honor Flight 51 on Tuesday said he wishes to give back to his community.
On a bus ride to the Korean Memorial on Wednesday, Steve Brewer said he has been thanked for his service for many years and wants to give back to the community now.

Brewer said due to his retirement, he now has time to stay connected with the veterans and everyone else who supports Honor Flight.
'Many of (the veterans) have never been here before and this will be their only opportunity, and so it's just a great honor,' Brewer said.
