Police identify body found floating in Chesapeake pond
The dead body of a man found floating in a Chesapeake pond last weekend has been identified by authorities.
The medical examiner identified Sean Stogsdill of Chesapeake, according to a release from the Chesapeake Police Department.
Police recovered Stogsdill's body near the intersection of Woodlake and Sentinel drives Sunday afternoon. That area includes several businesses, including Kroger.
The cause of death is still pending, police said.
