1 person was injured in a single-vehicle crash Saturday night on Stoney Trail. One person is in hospital following a crash Saturday night on southbound Stoney Trail. The incident took place at 6:10 p.m. on Stoney Trail between 114 Avenue and 88 Street S.E., where a single vehicle left the road and crashed into a telephone pole. Police said the lone occupant of the white truck was transported to hospital with serious injuries. Enmax assisted police along with EMS. The light pole was damaged and needs repairs. An investigation is underway into what caused the crash.

Motorcyclist sent to hospital after crash in southeast Calgary

A man was taken to hospital after he lost control of his motorcycle early Tuesday morning. Calgary police are investigating after a man was sent to hospital in life-threatening condition after a motorcycle crash early Tuesday. Police say the incident occurred at 12:47 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Stoney Trail S.E. heading to the off-ramp for northbound Deerfoot Trail. Motorcyclist sent to hospital after crash in southeast Calgary Calgary police are investigating the cause of a motorcycle crash in the southeast section of Stoney Trail on the ramp to northbound Deerfoot Trail. Multiple witnesses saw the motorcyclist lose control and be tossed from their bike. There are no further details about the victim. Police say the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash. The CPS traffic section is investigating. It's not known if speed or alcohol were factors in the crash. The off-ramp from Stoney Trail to Deerfoot Trail S.E. was reopened at about 8 a.m. Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to contact police at 403-266-1234.
