Former NBA star: Luka Doncic is 'anti-Hollywood' The Los Angeles Lakers have a new generational superstar in Luka Doncic, and at least for the rest of this season, they also have a new superstar duo with Doncic and LeBron James joining forces. The Slovenian's arrival in Los Angeles has created lots of excitement for Lakers fans, and he could very well help the storied franchise win at least one more NBA championship. However, there is something different about him compared to most of the Lakers' past generational superstars. While his game is prolific and exciting, his personality lacks pizzazz. While it isn't necessarily a bad thing, it does seem to mark a departure from what has always been perceived to be the Lakers' Way. Former NBA star Chris Webber, a former rival of the Shaquille O'Neal-Kobe Bryant era Lakers, said on his podcast "Straight Game" that Doncic is "anti-Hollywood." 'Some players like myself, we were like anti-Hollywood… We don't want to be Hollywood, we want to come in and shut it down and have y'all walk out of here quiet. It seemed like that's who Luka was, and now he has to like L.A.,' Webber said. In the end, the most Hollywood thing Doncic can do is deliver multiple championships to the Lakers and consistently deliver in crunch time. After all, the best way for people to promote themselves is by letting their work do the talking.
