Along with being experts in the martial arts, many of the competitors exhibit supernatural abilities. Ming-Na Wen played the role of Chun-Li in the 1994 live-action "Street Fighter" that was written and directed by Steven E. de Souza. She was joined in the flick by Jean-Claude Van Damme, Raul Julia, and Wes Studi among others. The 1994 "Street Fighter" may not be a cinematic masterpiece - it has an absolutely horrible 11% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, but it put butts in seats. It made $100 million globally against a $35 million production budget, and reportedly continues to put millions in Capcom's coffers. Liang so far has a young but impressive career. Along with starring beside Lucy Liu and Chris Sullivan in "Presence", the Canadian actress has appeared in AppleTV+'s "Foundation". She also starred in the short-lived teen drama "Tell Me Everything", and led the 2024 thriller "Bad Genius".
