Former Stroud journalist publishes second novel in emotional trilogy

A RETIRED Stroud journalist has published her latest book. Carole Taylor's new book, Living Life Backwards, was published this week. This is the second book in a trilogy focusing on women who faced unmarried motherhood and adoption in the 1960s. The story continues to follow lifelong friends Juliet and June, known as the Two Js. It picks up their story 50 years on when Juliet's adopted daughter decides to search for her birth father. The book showcases the enduring power of friendship and is a reminder that love is an ageless and rejuvenating gift. Carole said: "This book is a hymn to passion in later life and is dedicated to those who fall in love in their seventies and beyond." Carole, who now lives in Gloucester, worked on a number of Gloucestershire newspapers during her 50-year career in journalism, including the Stroud News and Journal and the Gloucestershire Gazette, where she was news editor, and the Wilts and Glos Standard. The author picture for Living Life Backwards was taken by Gloucestershire photographer Paul Nicholls. Living Life Backwards: The continuing story of the Two Js is available to purchase now.
