As it turns out, the expansion will have to wait a few more months. Following a fire on the hotel's ninth floor in February, the Holiday Inn has canceled all March events, although Cohen has plans to rebook the record fair there in late 2025.
'I was vocal about 'why doesn't someone restart [the Holiday Inn fairs]?' he says. 'I certainly have the experience and the network, and I'm happy to make it happen and turn it into a really great fair.'
