Naturally Lewis to present Economic Development Conference
Jun. 8—LYONS FALLS — Naturally Lewis will host an Economic Development Conference this week at 3 Willows Event Center, 3950 Route 12. The day begins with registration at 8 a.m. Wednesday, followed by the program — titled If Not You, Then Who? from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a break for lunch and concluding with a happy hour.
During the program the winners of the Student Pitch Competition will be announced.
The Economic Development Conference will bring entrepreneurs and small business owners, business and community leaders, municipal leaders, and nonprofit leaders from across Northern New York together to inspire and champion growth in our communities.
"This event is about more than just ideas," said a Naturally Lewis spokesperson. "We believe that real economic development starts with people. After all, if it's not you making the change you want to see, then who will?
Keynote speaker for the event will be Jeff Siegler with his presentation — Revitalize, Or Die. The session explores how the way communities are built impacts civic pride and why reinvesting in walkable, human-scale places — where people have a stake in their surroundings — is the key to reversing disengagement and restoring community identity.
