Naga Munchetty, the host of BBC Breakfast, has come under fire over allegations of bullying a junior. She has also been reprimanded for 'inappropriate' off-air behaviour. These incidents span across the BBC Breakfast studio and Studio Live 5 as per a report by The Sun. Naga Munchetty comes from a family of Indian origin and has been associated with the TV world for quite a while.

Naga Munchetty was born to an Indian mother from Tamil Nadu in London in 1975. Her father, who is from Maurius, too is of Indian descent. Nag Munchetty began her TV career as a reporter for Reuters Financial Television. She also worked CNBC Europe in the early years of her career.
Munchetty eventually rose to fame when she moved to BBC and started hosting BBC Breakfast. In 2018, she interviewed David Attenborough for the show. The interaction went viral as she asked the writer and biologist, who was there to talk about the Big Butterfly Count Event, unrelated questions about the royal family. This left Attenborough visibility upset.

Naga Munchetty is no stranger to the entertainment world. She participated in Strictly Come Dancing Season 14 in 2016. In it, she was paired with ballroom dancer Pasha Kovalev. The two were eventually eliminated from the competition in the fourth week. Naga Munchetty also played a fictionalised version of herself in Class Dismissed, a sketch comedy series.
On the personal side of things, she is married to ITV broadcast consultant James Haggar. She had earlier dated Jonny Hansen, a Norwegian footballer.
Munchetty was diagnosed with adenomyosis, a condition characterised by growth of cells inside the uterus, in September 2022. She went public with this in May 2023.

Munchetty was reportedly reprimanded by senior management in connection with an off-air remark during a break on Radio 5 Live. According to reports, Munchetty used explicit slang related to a sexual act and then directed the comment to a colleague. The incident, which occurred three years ago, is said to have left those present in a state of shock.
In a separate incident, last year, she allegedly bullied a junior and accused her of stealing without presenting concrete evidence.
