Webster County woman charged after driving into an individual's fence

FORDLAND, Mo. — A Webster County woman has been charged with a felony after driving through a fence toward an individual. According to online court dockets, Brianna Stufflebean, born 1998, of Fordland, has been charged with second-degree attempted assault and second-degree property damage on Wednesday, May 21. The probable cause statement says law enforcement responded to a call made by the victim claiming Stufflebean tried to run them over with her vehicle. When law enforcement arrived, they spoke with the victim and two witnesses about the incident. The three individuals said that Stufflebean had asked them for money to buy alcohol, the statement says. Howell County woman charged with assault following Facebook post One witness and the victim denied Stufflebean money, and she became very upset. The statement says later that day, Stufflebean began to leave her next-door residence and drove into the victim's fence stopping a short distance away from where the victim was mowing their lawn. A witness said she ran over to the vehicle and turned off the car. The witness asked Stufflebean if she was alright and why she tried to hit the victim. Stufflebean declined to answer the question and walked back over to her residence. The victim and the witnesses told law enforcement they believed Stufflebean tried to hit the victim. They pointed out track marks that showed she made a U-turn maneuver in which she accelerated into the driveway. The officer walked over to Stufflebean's residence and noticed a 2005 Buick Century that had scratches on the hood. When the officer spoke to Stufflebean on the incident, she told them that 'the fence had to go down.' The officer asked if she owned the fence, and she said that she knew it belonged to another individual. Stufflebean was taken into custody and sent to the Webster County Jail.
