Cheshire Oaks plans "one-off gig headlined by top-secret 2000s icon" for 30th anniversary

The countdown has begun to 'summer's greatest secret' with the Designer Outlet's upcoming 30th anniversary celebrations including an 'exclusive gig headlined by…'. Well it's all hush-hush right now as far as who will take to the stage on 6 June for that exclusive appearance is concerned. But we know at least the mystery star is an '00's icon with multiple UK No 1 hits'. The event will be hosted by Hits Radio DJ Kimberly Wyatt, with the headline act supported by a live DJ performance from Take That star Howard Donald. Importantly, the free, one-off, charity-supporting event kicks off the summer to celebrate 'three decades of style, shopping and culture' for the centre in the Wirral. The centre claims to be the UK's largest designer outlet with over 400,000 sq ft of retail space housing 165 brands, and its general manager Kenny Murray, said: "This anniversary is a moment to celebrate the rich history and vibrant future of Cheshire Oaks. We have evolved continuously over the last three decades, and now it's time to celebrate in true style. 'Over our 30 years we've built a real sense of community that makes this centre special and we want to celebrate this milestone with the local area and people so close to our heart.' Earlier this year, Cheshire Oaks unveiled its 2025 Style Report, revealing that 63% of Britons now prefer shopping in person rather than online, as well as the resurgence of nostalgic fashion trends from the 90s, from baggy trousers to full denim looks, returning to pride and place in wardrobes across the UK.
