Kerry fashion designer to the stars will judge best-dressed lady at Listowel Races Summer Festival
The competition will be held on 'Style Stakes Sunday' on June 1, and the best-dressed lady will win a cash prize of €500 while the first two runners-up will each receive €250.
Gift bags sponsored by Maguire's Pharmacy and a pair of exclusive earrings designed by Mary Mulhall of Irish Designs will also be awarded to the runners-up.
Judging of the competition will commence on course at 2pm and the overall winners will be announced in the parade ring after the fifth race.
The Listowel Races Summer Festival will also feature two days of National Hunt action on the Saturday and Monday and flat racing on the Sunday.
Racing highlights will include The Anglo Printers Remembering John H Kierans Mares Hurdle of €18,000 on Saturday, May 31, the Irish EBF Median Sires Series Maiden of €25,000 on Sunday, June 1 and the Join Racing TV with a Free Trial Now Handicap Hurdle of €23,000 on Monday, June 2.
Organisers of the racing festival have promised a weekend that will be full of excitement for seasoned racing fans and fun-seekers alike.
Free musical entertainment and a buzzing atmosphere has also been promised while free face painters and a bouncing castle for children will be on hand on the Sunday of the festival.
Tickets can be pre-purchased online at for €15 while admission tickets will be available for €20 at the turnstiles.
Children under 12 will be allowed to enter for free when accompanied by an adult, while group discounts are also available.
The summer festival is the first of two meetings at Listowel Race Course, with the Harvest Racing Festival meeting scheduled from Sunday, September 21 to Saturday, September 27.
