BREAKING NEWS Tube network descends into chaos as major power outage takes down four lines ahead of rush hour
Four London Underground lines and the Elizabeth line were suspended today ahead of the afternoon rush hour following a major power failure in the capital. No trains were running on the entire Bakerloo line, while the Jubilee line was axed between London Bridge and Finchley Road with severe delays on the rest of it. The Northern line was part-suspended between Stockwell and Morden and between Euston and Kennington, and there was no service on the Waterloo & City line. Meanwhile the Elizabeth line was part-suspended in the central section between Paddington and Abbey Wood, with severe delays on the rest of the line. Separately, the Suffragette line on the Overground was completely suspended due to a fire alert. Some 26 stations were closed or partially-closed across the network, including key interchanges such as Paddington, Liverpool Street and Tottenham Court Road. Other impacted stops were Baker Street, Charing Cross, Bond Street, Westminster, Embankment, Euston, London Bridge and Farringdon.

Power failure knocks out London Underground and Elizabeth lines
A power failure is causing major disruption across the London Underground network and the Elizabeth Bakerloo line and Waterloo & City lines are suspended, there are no trains between London Bridge and Finchley Road on the Jubilee line and the Northern line is not running between Euston and Kennington, nor south of Stockwell. The Elizabeth line is also not running between Abbey Wood and Paddington. It is understood to have been caused by a power outage in south-west London which happened at about 14:30 BST. The issue has since been rectified but delays and line suspensions are still the entire Suffragette line on London Overground is suspended due to a fire alert. Waterloo station is among the worst affected stations, as it is usually served by Jubilee, Northern and Bakerloo line trains.
