Sunjay Kapur's last photo, taken moments before he died, shared by his polo team: ‘Our dear friend tragically passed away on field'
Actress Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband, business tycoon Sunjay Kapur, tragically passed away on Thursday in London. As per a few media reports, Sunjay was playing the polo semi-finals for the Cartier Trophy when he accidentally swallowed a honey bee and suffered a heart attack. Days after his passing, his polo team – Sujan India Tigers shared his last photo with the team's captain, Jaisal Singh, moments before he lost his life. The finals will be dedicated to late Sunjay Kapur, and a minute's silence will be observed before the finals in his memory. As a mark of respect, the team's captain will also not play the final match.
Sharing the photo, his team wrote, 'Today we play the final of the Cartier Trophy in memory of our dear friend Sunjay Kapur, who tragically passed away on the field a few days ago. Our Captain and Patron, Jaisal Singh, will mount up with the team to observe a minute's silence in honour of his dear old friend Sunjay, and then sit out as a mark of respect. This photograph of Sunjay and Jaisal was taken moments before they mounted up to play the semi-finals a few days ago.'

The note further stated, 'RIP Sunjay; you will be missed – your tireless enthusiasm and patronage will be remembered forever by the entire polo community.'
The chairman of Sona Comcast, a business conglomerate with his net worth at over Rs 10,000 crore. He took over the control of the company after his father Surinder Kapur passed away in 2015. A passionate polo player, Sunjay has played the sport with Prince William in the past. On June 12 during a match, he accidentally swallowed a bee and suffered a cardiac arrest. He collapsed on the spot, and could not be revived despite multiple attempts.
Sunjay Kapur married Karisma Kapoor in 2003, and the two got divorced in 2016. They have two children together. Before Karisma Kapoor, Sunjay was married to fashion designer Nandita Mahtani. After his separation from Karisma, Sunjay married Priya Sachdev, and the two had a son together. His last post was about expressing grief over the tragic Air India plane crash in Hyderabad.
