19-year-old college girl climbs Mt. Everest, shocks the entire nation

Say hello to Kritika Sharma, a 19-year-old woman and college student from Himachal Pradesh who climbed the hearts and the tallest mountain in the world, scaling over 8,000ft. Her monumental achievement has captured nationwide attention, and she successfully scaled Mount Everest on May 18, 2025. Kritika belongs to a remote village of Gattadhar, within the Sangrah subdivision of Sirmaur district. Despite coming into contact with sub-zero temperatures, low oxygen levels, and unseasonal climatic conditions on Everest, Kritika's resolve and discipline never wavered.
