Kroger to give away free ice cream to celebrate start of summer
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Find out how you can get a free pint of ice cream to celebrate the start of the summer.
To celebrate the beginning of summer, Kroger has released a new series of limited-time flavors called 'Summer in a Pint'. they claim the four new flavors are designed to 'inspire dreams of summer getaways'.
That's not all they are doing to celebrate, though. On June 20, you can go to the Kroger website to snag a coupon for a free pint of Kroger brand ice cream. The company said in their news release that they are giving away 92,000 pints of ice cream, 1,000 pints for each of the 92 days of summer.
'We're thrilled to see the return of the Summer in a Pint collection because it was such a hit with ice cream lovers last year,' said Eric Halvorson, Manager of Corporate Affairs, Kroger Central Division. 'This summer's flavors make the 2025 collection even more enjoyable than the last.'
The four new flavors are described as:
Italian Style Summer Fizz: A blood orange-flavored sherbet infused with popping candy clusters and a blood orange ribbon.
Fireside Nights: A toasted marshmallow ice cream featuring s'mores pieces and a glittering swirl evoking the glow of a campfire flame.
Sandy Shores: A coconut-flavored ice cream swirled with a sweet and salty pretzel crunch.
Poolside Tan Lines: A smooth and sophisticated combination of vanilla bean, chocolate, and coffee ice creams.
You can get your free ice cream coupon by visiting at noon on June 20 for a downloadable coupon. The coupon can be used on any Kroger brand ice cream flavor and can be used from June 20 to July 4. Customers can also save a dollar when they purchase any two pints of Kroger brand ice cream during that time period.
