This flag football catch was so insane that Patrick Mahomes was completely mesmerized
Perhaps Patrick Mahomes is in search of some more wideouts for the Chiefs. During the 2025 NFL Flag Championships on Saturday, one young player snagged a touchdown catch that was so impressive that it caught the attention of the three-time Super Bowl champion quarterback. 'Yooo what?' Mahomes posted on X in reply to a post of the play. Advertisement Brysen Wright of Jaguars Elite cut through three defenders en route to the end zone before snatching the ball mid-air for the catch before falling to the ground. The reception, which Wright caught with one hand, left the announcers practically speechless. Advertisement 'That is truly unbelievable,' one said as a replay aired. Wright, who is a high school class of 2028 wide receiver from Jacksonville, Florida, has already accumulated multiple college offers. Wright already has multiple scholarship offers. Advertisement Flag football has increased in popularity across all age groups, including at the professional level, where NFL owners unanimously approved player participation at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. 'I think this news represents a great opportunity for the sport, for the NFL,' commissioner Roger Goodell said in May. 'It's truly the next step in making NFL football and football a global sport for men and women of all ages and all opportunities across the globe. 'I'll probably leave that to the younger guys,' Mahomes told reporters in May. 'I'll be a little older by the time that comes around.'

File Photo by Piyal Adhikary/EPA July 19 (UPI) -- On this date in history: In 1848, "bloomers," a radical departure in women's clothing, were introduced to the first women's rights convention in Seneca Falls, N.Y. They were named after Amelia Jenks Bloomer. In 1911, Pennsylvania became the first U.S. state to pass laws censoring movies. In 1943, U.S. planes bombed key railway, steel factory and airport targets in Rome, killing thousands of civilians as part of World War II. In 1946, Marilyn Monroe was given her first screen test at Twentieth Century-Fox Studios. Even without sound, the test was enough to earn Monroe her first contract. She divorced her first husband, James Dougherty, he told UPI, because of a no-marriage clause in the contract. In 1969, John Fairfax of Britain arrived at Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to become the first person to row across the Atlantic alone. In 1989, a crippled DC-10 jetliner crash-landed in a cornfield in Sioux City, Iowa. One-hundred-eighty-five of the 296 people aboard survived. IOA feud nears end as ministry steps in
IOA president PT Usha (PTI Photo) NEW DELHI: The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has for some time attracted unwanted attention due to various controversies — be it the appointment of Raghuram Iyer as the CEO, Executive Council (EC) members bringing a no confidence motion against president P T Usha in an attempt to remove her, joint secretary Kalyan Chaubey performing the additional duties of acting CEO contrary to International Olympic Committee's (IOC) wishes, IOC withholding 'Olympic Solidarity Fund' to India and pausing all payments to the Usha-led NOC, a Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report which criticised a faulty sponsorship deal with Reliance India Limited (RIL) that resulted in a Rs 24 crore loss to IOA and corruption allegations against current treasurer Sahdev Yadav and the finance committee. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! The protracted administrative conflict between Usha and 12 EC members raised concerns over the stability of IOA, potentially hindering PM Narendra Modi govt's ambitions to establish India as a global sporting power. As India campaigns to host the Commonwealth Games 2030 as well as the Summer Olympics and Paralympics 2036, a united, stable IOA without factionalism was considered essential. According to sources, years of internal struggles, mismanagement and public disputes within IOA may be nearing an end, possibly as soon as next week. Usha and the group of 12 EC members have reached a consensus to set aside differences and cooperate professionally in national interest — regarding the bid to host the CWG and Olympics, as well as other international sporting events. It has been indicated that EC members have agreed to ratify Iyer's appointment as CEO, which had been a principal issue between Usha and the EC. Iyer was appointed IOA's CEO in Jan 2024 after a formal selection process, but EC refused to ratify it citing concerns over his salary. This prompted the IOC to issue warnings to IOA about the lack of a full-time CEO. Usha and the EC members have reportedly agreed to approve balance sheets and audited accounts, and to withdraw charges of financial irregularities against the treasurer. The last IOA executive council meeting was held on Sept 26, 2024, and a Special General Body Meeting (SGBM) is expected shortly to resolve outstanding matters. Sports minister Mansukh Mandaviya played a significant role in mediating between Usha and the EC members. Acting behind the scenes, he ensured that IOA's disputes didn't disrupt India's Olympic aspirations. Mandaviya has repeatedly urged IOA officials to prioritise national interests and good governance. On Thursday evening, some IOA office-bearers met Mandaviya at his residence where a decision was reached to resolve the deadlock and work collectively. 'Things are on the mend. Everything has been sorted out between Usha and EC members. There could be a resolution as early as next week or in 10 days. Everyone understands the nation comes first at a time when India is planning to host the CWG and Olympics. IOA needs to present a united front and disputes can be set aside,' the source stated. Tourists to US may face new $250 ‘visa integrity fee'
Tourists, international students and business travelers may be required to pay a $250 fee when visiting the United States on a non-immigrant visa. The new provision applies solely to visitors from countries that require a non-immigrant visa for entry, as outlined in the 'big, beautiful' spending bill signed by President Trump, according to the Envoy Global law firm. No formal start date has been announced to begin the collection of the 'visa integrity fee.' Starting in 2026, the $250 price could increase to accommodate inflation, per the law firm. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will be tasked with determining the final amount required for entry purposes. Visitors can be reimbursed for the fee if they abide by the terms of their visa per the legislation and those who are denied entry will not be charged. However, the provision says compensation is required and cannot be waived and must be paid on top of a charge attached to foreign nationals' arrival/departure Record known as 'Form I-94 fee.' The One Big Beautiful Bill Act also raised the form price from $6 to $24. Some say the new measure will roil travel plans amid major events set to be hosted in the U.S., including the 2028 Summer Olympics. 'This legislation is a giant step in the right direction when it comes to improving America's travel infrastructure and security. Bold, necessary investments in air traffic control and Customs and Border Protection will make a meaningful difference in the traveler's experience,' said U.S. Travel Association President and CEO Geoff Freeman in a July 3 statement. 'The smart investments in the travel process make foolish new fees on foreign visitors and reductions to Brand USA, America's promotion arm, that much harder to swallow. Making America the world's most visited destination—and capitalizing on the upcoming World Cup and Summer Olympics—requires smarter policy and legislative changes that we are already pursuing,' he added. The new requirement comes amid the Trump administration's crackdown on illegal immigration and uptick in removal efforts through repeated raids.
