‘Summer Thankathon' to honour frontline, emergency workers
The Broseph Foundation, a volunteer-led NGO headquartered in Bengaluru, has announced the commencement of its 'Summer Thankathon,' an initiative aimed at honouring the dedication of Bengaluru's frontline civic and emergency workers.
The city-wide campaign will recognise over 150 workers across 14 locations, with the support of more than 500 volunteers, said a release.
The inaugural leg of the 'Summer Thankathon' took place on Saturday, with volunteers visiting key service hubs such as the Yelahanka fire station, the BWSSB office in Domlur, and the Kengeri BMTC depot.
Over 30 individuals were felicitated during these visits, with over 50 volunteers participating in the events. The volunteers distributed tokens of appreciation, shared meals, and conducted community activities designed to build genuine connections between citizens and frontline workers, added the release.
