Russians attack Sumy Oblast with guided bomb: two adults and child injured
Two adults and a minor girl have been injured as a result of a Russian airstrike on the Okhtyrka hromada in Sumy Oblast on the morning of 27 May. Civilians have been injured. Cars have been damaged. The aftermath of the enemy strike is being clarified." Details: Later, the prosecutor's office reported in a statement that the attack took place at around 11:20. Early reports indicate that the Russians dropped a guided aerial bomb on civilian infrastructure. Three people were injured in the attack. Man killed in Russian attack on Sumy Oblast
Russian forces attacked the Yunakivka hromada in Sumy Oblast on the afternoon of Tuesday 20 May, killing a local resident. A 33-year-old civilian has been killed." Details: The Prosecutor's Office has launched a pre-trial investigation into the commission of war crimes that resulted in the death of a person (Article 438.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Russians kill three people in two settlements of Sumy Oblast within a day
The Russians have attacked the Bilopillia and Vorozhba hromadas of Sumy Oblast with various types of weapons on Monday, killing three people. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.] Source: Sumy Oblast Prosecutor's Office Quote: "The occupiers carried out artillery shelling and dropped guided aerial bombs on civilian and critical infrastructure of the Sumy district on 5 May 2025, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the investigation said. A 48-year-old civilian man was killed and another 34-year-old man was injured in the Bilopillia hromada as a result of the enemy's attack. Early reports indicate that two men sustained fatal injuries in the Vorozhbа hromada, and three people were injured, including a 16-year-old boy." Background: On 5 May, Mykhailo Melnyk, Head of Sumy District State Administration, called for the immediate evacuation of residents of Bilopillia and Vorozhba, two settlements near the border with Russia. Death toll from Russian strike on Sumy rises to 35
The latest data shows that 35 people have been killed in the Russian missile attack on the city of Sumy on 13 April. Source: Sumy Oblast Prosecutor's Office on Telegram Quote: "As a result of the missile strike on the centre of Sumy on 13 April 2025, 35 people have been killed, including an 11-year-old boy and a 17-year-old young man." Details: The agency added that 117 people were injured, including 15 children. Background: Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that Russian forces launched two strikes on central Sumy on 13 April, two minutes apart, reportedly using Iskander-M cluster high-explosive missiles, which travel at a speed of over 2 kilometres per second. Earlier reports indicated that 34 people had been killed in the attack. Fourteen police officers were injured in the strike and some emergency service personnel who had been responding to the aftermath of the initial blast were killed and injured as well.
