Sunny Kaushal Says He Wrote 'Mid Air Freeverse' Mid-Flight With Just Pen And Pad: ‘It's A Glimpse Into...'
In an era where actors are constantly pushing boundaries, Sunny Kaushal has made an unexpected yet powerful musical debut — and he did it while flying 35,000 feet above the ground. The actor, known for his charming on-screen presence, has turned rapper with Mid Air Freeverse, a fiery new Punjabi track that blends hip-hop beats with bhangra energy and introspective lyricism.
Sunny Kaushal surprises fans with Mid Air Freeverse, a bold Punjabi rap written during a flight from Delhi to Bombay. The actor-turned-rapper opens up about writing the lyrics mid-air, embracing his alter ego Sunsunnykhez, and blending hip-hop with bhangra energy.
What's even more intriguing is how the song came to life. Sunny Kaushal revealed that he wrote the entire track on a flight from Delhi to Bombay, scribbling away with a pen and pad in hand. 'It's a Punjabi track that blends my musical loves — hip-hop, rap, Punjabi folk, poetry. Even though it's hip-hop at heart, it carries a bhangra vibe. I wrote it mid-flight, literally. Naming it was tricky, since there's no hook or catchy chorus — just 64 bars of rap. So Mid Air Freeverse felt right — it captured the rawness of writing in mid-air and the free-form style," he said.
