How to Reignite Ramadan's True Atmosphere
Since we are now in the second half of Ramadan, many people have been complaining about this year's vibes, which can be summed up as excitement slowly fading, days running by quickly and still not having a hold on fasting quite yet.
The main consensus is that it doesn't feel like Ramadan, as everything is moving too fast, and the family gatherings are getting fewer, no outing plans, suhoor, it all goes downhill as the lethargy energy starts the moment we finish Iftar.
So how to combat laziness? How to reheat the energy and reignite the true Ramadan vibes? Here are some suggestions that might do the trick.
Start Small By Reigniting Your Inner Child
One of the most common things we all feel like about Ramadan is the nostalgia. From old cartoons, to shows, or even taking a stroll in the streets with the lanterns in your hands, these activities might sound trivial at first, but back then they were the essences of Ramadan.
Those cartoons we used to watch over iftar time like Bakar or Super Henedy, the religious shows that taught us about each prophet, or those songs about the true meaning of Ramadan we used to sing, if you have some time to sit down and start the nostalgia journey, do so.
Take Initiative and Reunite People
When it comes to family gatherings or friend outings, we are always waiting for the invites to come pouring in. The problem is, everyone is waiting for the invite, but they do not plan or suggest the gathering. So
Sometimes it's best to take the initiative and reach out to people.
Some will be reluctant due to social anxiety, or simply having too much on their plate, however, this will not go unnoticed, they will feel appreciated, and the others who do respond, will even suggest activities and plan things with you.
Download App to Help You Be More Spiritual
Since phones are too important to us these days, and if your job depends on having a phone so you cannot go on a digital detox, you can simply download apps that help you know more about your faith better.
Plan to Host Iftar For Homeless and Helpless
In an effort to foster community spirit and provide support to those in need, planning a warm and welcoming Iftar for the homeless and vulnerable individuals in the area is what Ramadan is all about. You can gather your friends and family, get the clothes that you don't use anymore, put food in a box, and help people who are facing hardships.
