'Superman' film is '100% done,' James Gunn says
It's a wrap for "Superman!"
DC Studios CEO James Gunn, who helmed the new take on the iconic superhero, announced on Facebook that the film is complete.
Sharing a photo of the cast, which is led by David Corenswet, Gunn said their last visual effect shot has been finished.
"We are now 100% done. Thanks to all my collaborators! It has been a joy," he said.
"And for the rest of you - I can't wait for you to see the movie July 11," he added.
DC Studios released the official trailer of "Superman" last month, and it showed Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) interviewing Clark Kent as Superman.
It also introduced Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
The cast includes Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince and Neva Howell.
"Superman" will be released internationally on July 9.
The cast and crew is set to go on a world tour with Manila as the very first stop on June 19.
