Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL) has commenced production of its first electric scooter, the Suzuki e-Access, at its manufacturing facility in Gurgaon, Haryana. The e-Access, which made its public debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, marks Suzuki's foray into India's rapidly expanding electric two-wheeler segment. advertisementPositioned as a robust and practical solution for daily urban commuting, the e-Access is powered by Suzuki's proprietary e-Technology, incorporating a 3.07kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery. The battery is engineered for enhanced thermal stability and longevity, undergoing stringent tests including submersion, vibration, drop, and extreme temperature evaluations to ensure high scooter boasts features like regenerative braking, a maintenance-free belt drive, and the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector-e (SDMS-e) which offers three ride modes—Eco, Ride A, and Ride B, along with a Reverse Mode for ease of parking. With a top speed of 71kmph, the e-ACCESS delivers 4.1kW of power and 15Nm of torque, offering a range of 95km on a single charge. In terms of charging times, the standard charging takes 6 hours and 42 minutes and fast charging reducing it to just 2 hours and 12 minutes. The scooter can be charged at home or via a portable charger, adding to user terms of design, the e-Access sports a clean and contemporary look. It features 12-inch alloy wheels, a full-LED lighting system, and a bright colour instrument cluster that displays essential ride data.
