Rangers 'reluctantly' allow Jo Potter to leave with compensation due as Celtic boss Elina Sadiku lands a new role
Potter's exit with one year left on her deal will see her former club land a compensation fee
Double-Cup winning boss Jo Potter has left Rangers with the Ibrox side "reluctantly" allowing her to depart two seasons at the helm.
Potter's exit with one year left on her deal will see her former club land a compensation fee as many suitors are likely to cast an admiring glance at her work in Glasgow.
The former England international landed a clean sweep of the domestic Cup competitions over the past two seasons, however, Potter and fans of the Rangers women side were left chastened by consecutive seasons where the SWPL title alluded them on the final day of the season to Celtic and Hibs respectively.
Rangers fan outlet, Four Lads Had A Dream, posted: "Rangers are reluctantly allowing Jo to move on, club will receive compensation for her services as Jo still has one year left on her deal Best wishes to Jo, was absolutely brilliant to deal with and nothing but honest in her time as manager."
Potter succeeded Malky Thomson at the helm in 2023 after arriving from Birmingham City and proved a popular presence among the Ibrox playing staff.
Meanwhile, Celtic rival Elena Sadiku appears to be going nowhere after a disappointing season but she has landed a marquee role back in her homeland.
Sadiku – who masterminded a SWPL title triumph in 2024 before a misfiring fourth-placed finish in the last campaign – will be front and centre of Swedish TV's coverage of the Women's Euros in Switzerland.
The 31-year-old has earned praise for her tactical acumen and will be a regular on Sveriges Television before returning to Glasgow.
