In 2022, the company had stopped the service in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad citing rise in demand for its food delivery service and quick commerce arm Instamart. It now accounts for more than 1 in every 10 orders on the Swiggy platform and has onboarded over 45,000 restaurants, including QSR chains such as KFC, McDonald's, Subway, Faasos, Burger King and Curefoods. Notably, Zomato parent Eternal recently closed its 15-minute food delivery service Quick and homely meals segment Everyday as both services failed to muster enough demand, CEO Deepinder Goyal said in a letter to shareholders while announcing the financial results for the January-March quarter. Swiggy is scheduled to announce its financial results for the March quarter on May 9. The company had posted a 31% year-on-year increase in revenue at Rs 3,993 crore during the December quarter, as its consolidated losses widened to Rs 799 crore against Rs 594 crore in the year-ago period.
