#SHOWBIZ: Afifah Nasir expecting first child, a boy
KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Afifah Nasir, 32, has announced she's expecting her first child, a baby boy.
In an Instagram post yesterday, she shared her gratitude to God, stating that she and her husband, Syed Hariz, had prayed fervently for this moment.
"We prayed hard for this day. Thank God that our prayers have finally been answered," she wrote.
Afifah added that she and Syed Hariz were "still enjoying their honeymoon" and had planned to welcome their first baby this year.
While the baby's gender didn't matter to them, she expressed immense joy at the news of a boy.
Afifah and Syed Hariz married in May last year.
She is the younger sister of actress Anzalna Nasir and the daughter of former National Film Development Corporation (Finas) chief executive officer Professor Dr Md Nasir Ibrahim.
