Interstate tractor-trailer crash kills Greenville man
A Greenville man died Saturday morning when the 18-wheeler he was driving left the interstate and struck several trees, authorities say.
Sylvester Seawright Jr., 36, died when the 2021 Volvo VNR tractor-trailer he was driving left the roadway, struck a signpost and several trees, said Senior Trooper Kendra McKinney. Seawright was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash happened on Interstate 65 near the 147 mile maker, about five miles north of Fort Deposit, in Lowndes County.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
