During his address, Bhagwat elaborated on the RSS's contribution towards the society. "The fundamental difference between humans and other animals lies in our capacity for compassionate and affectionate thought.
Yet, in contemporary society, this affection is receding. The RSS is stepping in to remind people of compassion's vital importance," he said.
"Affection serves as the common thread through which the RSS is striving to unite the Hindu community, and in turn, these united Hindus are working towards global unity," Bhagwat added.
He also noted that the RSS has cultivated a work culture specifically designed to enhance the compassionate nature of its volunteers
"It is true that discipline, physical education, and intellectual enhancement are taught in all the branches of RSS. The impact of these teachings may vary among the volunteers, but in the entire process, every volunteer becomes more affectionate towards society. Wherever the volunteer works, he thinks of serving all those who get connected with him without expecting anything in return," the RSS chief said.
