Goodwill to host free Document Shredding event May 6
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — If you have any confidential or sensitive documents you want to get rid of in a safe and secure manner, Goodwill is hosting an event on May 6 offering exactly that.
Goodwill's GoodShred event allows people to get rid of any sensitive documents without worry that they may fall into the hands of the wrong person.
11th annual Pete Goede ALS Benefit Concert this weekend
The event will be taking place as part of Goodwill Week on May 6 at their location at 3100 W. 4th Street in Sioux City. Goodwill Week lasts from May 4 through the 10.
The GoodShred event will begin at 10 a.m. and last until 2 p.m. During the event, a local food truck, T&J Fire, LLC, will be serving burgers starting at 11 a.m.
According to a release from Goodwill, through their GoodShred events, more than 900,000 pounds of paper and electronics were able to be kept out of landfills.
GoodShred is a free event.
