BJP holds protest in Mysuru demanding deportation of Pak. nationals staying illegally in Karnataka
BJP's city and district units on Tuesday staged a demonstration in Mysuru, demanding immediate deportation of Pakistani nationals staying illegally in the State.
The protest, led by T.S. Srivatsa, MLA, and L. Nagendra, city BJP president and former MLA, demanded that the Pakistani nationals staying illegally have to be deported with regard to the Centre's directive in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack.
The BJP leaders accused the State government of failing in its duties to deport the Pakistani nationals. The leaders had stated that the BJP-ruled States had taken prompt action on the Centre's directives, while the non-BJP-ruled States had shown little interest in the issue.
The protesters went to the Deputy Commissioner's office and submitted a memorandum, which was received by the Additional Deputy Commissioner. BJP district president Mahadevaswamy and others were present.
